Occupational Therapist (School)

MissionHires is seeking a compassionate Occupational Therapist to support students in a Fayette school setting. You will evaluate students, develop individualized intervention plans, collaborate with educators and families, implement therapeutic activities, and track progress to help students overcome physical, cognitive, and sensory challenges and achieve their educational goals.

The Occupational Therapist positions in Alabama are located in Fayette, Centreville (2 listings), Ashville, Piedmont, Selma, Evergreen, Grove Hill, Marion, Oneonta, Alexander City, Pell City, Talladega, Clayton, Tuskegee, Gadsden, and Tuscaloosa.

• Evaluate students’ abilities through assessments and observations
• Develop individualized intervention plans aligned with educational goals
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary team members
• Implement therapeutic activities and exercises to improve functional skills
• Monitor, document, and adjust interventions based on student progress
• Provide training, strategies, and resources to teachers and staff
• Support creation of inclusive, supportive classroom environments
• Maintain accurate records and adhere to school and clinical guidelines

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
• Experience in a school setting (preferred)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
• Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive educational experience
