Senior Scheduling Engineer

MissionHires is seeking a Senior Scheduling Engineer on behalf of a construction company in Fayetteville, Arkansas. This role leads schedule development and management across multiple concurrent projects, performs detailed CPM analyses, and partners with project teams and subcontractors to keep work on track from preconstruction through closeout. The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of GC scheduling experience, strong Microsoft Project skills, and the ability to communicate schedule insights clearly to field teams and executives. • Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules from preconstruction through closeout
• Establish baseline schedules integrating all work activities, milestones, and critical path elements
• Track and update progress against baseline schedules across 5–6 concurrent projects
• Collect, validate, and analyze schedule data to measure performance and forecast completion
• Conduct time impact and delay analyses; support change order documentation
• Perform what-if analyses to evaluate recovery plans and alternative approaches
• Prepare clear schedule status reports and dashboards for PMs, clients, and executive leadership
• Collaborate closely with PMs, superintendents, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure schedule alignment
• Review and critique subcontractor and vendor schedules for logic, accuracy, and contract compliance
• Attend weekly subcontractor and OAC meetings (often remote) to present updates and resolve issues
• Support estimating with preconstruction and RFP phase scheduling
• Refine and improve scheduling SOPs, templates, and standards
• Mentor and train project staff on scheduling best practices and software tools

• 5+ years of construction scheduling experience with a general contractor (required)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project (required)
• Familiarity with Primavera P6 and Procore (strongly preferred)
• Deep understanding of CPM scheduling, critical path method, and project controls
• Ability to perform resource-loaded and cost-loaded schedules and time impact analyses
• Prior field experience as a Superintendent or Project Manager (strongly preferred)
• Experience on large-scale commercial or industrial construction projects
• Self-directed, disciplined, and comfortable working with high autonomy in a growing company
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present schedule data to field teams, PMs, and executives
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel; Power BI is a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred (not required)
