Metallurgical Engineer

MissionHires is seeking a Metallurgical Engineer to own the metallurgical aspects of products from customer inquiry through post-shipment support. This role reviews and interprets customer specifications, ensures metallurgical compliance during order review, supports Sales and Operations with technical guidance, leads product and process development, investigates customer claims, and analyzes internal non-conformances and mechanical test failures. Based in New Castle, PA, the position requires regional travel and strong results orientation.

• Review and comment on customer material specifications
• Conduct order reviews to verify metallurgical requirements are met
• Provide technical support to Sales and Operations
• Lead product and process development initiatives
• Investigate customer claims and provide recommendations
• Analyze and disposition internal non-conformances and mechanical test failures
• Support customers with post-shipment technical service

• Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy or Metallurgical Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of experience in ferrous metallurgy (heavy section experience preferred)
• Experience with Nickel (Ni) and Titanium (Ti) required
• Strong PC skills, including Microsoft Office
• Excellent organizational skills
• Results-oriented with a strong desire to succeed
• Ability to travel regionally
• Location: New Castle, PA (Direct Hire)
