Electrical Engineer

MissionHires is seeking an Electrical Engineer with 3+ years of experience in building consulting engineering for institutional and commercial projects. The role focuses on electrical power, lighting, fire alarm, and building systems design, with strong Revit and AutoCAD proficiency. You’ll execute detailed designs, calculations, specifications, and construction administration while collaborating across teams. Colorado PE preferred.

• Perform detailed electrical design for institutional and commercial buildings (power, lighting, fire alarm, building systems)
• Develop electrical room layouts, load calculations, and one-line diagrams
• Produce 3D Revit models and 2D CAD drawings
• Complete photometric calculations, short circuit calculations, and arc flash studies
• Prepare project drawings, specifications, and equipment selection/application
• Conduct code studies, site surveys, and related correspondence
• Support construction administration activities
• Collaborate with internal teams and clients; communicate progress and issues clearly

• Bachelor’s degree (4-year) from an accredited university in a related field
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in building consulting engineering as a project designer, engineer, or project manager
• Proficiency in Revit (minimum 3 years) and AutoCAD (minimum 4 years)
• Demonstrated experience with electrical power, lighting, fire alarm, and building systems design
• Experience performing load calculations, one-line development, photometric calculations, short circuit calculations, and arc flash studies
• High level of written and verbal communication skills
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, etc.); knowledge of Ajera is a plus
• Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset
• Great attitude and proven reliability; professional references required
• Colorado Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred but not required
