Why This Role Matters

MissionHires is seeking a QA/QC Coordinator on behalf of a well-established mechanical contracting firm with 40+ years delivering complex HVAC, plumbing, piping, and sheet metal solutions for hospitals, data centers, and high-rise commercial buildings. This role leads project quality planning, documentation governance, inspections/testing oversight, and audit/reporting across multiple projects—partnering closely with field, TAB, and commissioning teams to ensure compliance, consistency, and continuous improvement within a collaborative, growth-focused culture.

How You'll Contribute
  • Develop and implement project-specific QA plans and quality strategies
  • Schedule, oversee, and coordinate daily inspections and testing activities for compliance
  • Govern QA/QC documentation standards and ensure consistency across projects
  • Conduct quality audits; report findings, trends, and risks to leadership
  • Communicate regularly with project stakeholders to provide quality updates and resolve issues
  • Train project teams on QA/QC protocols, compliance expectations, and best practices
  • Monitor quality performance metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support field teams with guidance and oversight (no direct installation management)
  • Identify process gaps and implement improvements to enhance project outcomes
  • Manage and maintain QA/QC process documentation and records
  • Collaborate with Testing, Adjusting & Balancing (TAB) and Commissioning teams to align quality and startup objectives

What Makes You a Great Fit
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship
  • 7+ years of experience on commercial mechanical or plumbing construction projects (e.g., healthcare, medical gas, educational, institutional, military facilities)
  • 4+ years of experience with QA/QC systems, documentation, and compliance on construction projects
  • 4+ years partnering with Testing, Balancing, and Commissioning teams
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Positive, self-motivated, and able to work independently and collaboratively
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
  • Preferred: Experience with startup and commissioning on $25M+ projects
  • Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
