The Electro-Mechanical Skid Detailer creates comprehensive 2D and 3D drawings for industrial skid packages, covering both mechanical and electrical scope. This is a dual-discipline manufacturing role: mechanical skid frames, piping, and equipment layouts on one side, and electrical schematics, panel layouts, and power one-lines on the other, all translated into fabrication-ready drawings and accurate bills of material. Working closely with engineers and manufacturing personnel, the Detailer ensures designs are manufacturable, meet specification, and move cleanly from model to shop floor. This is a fully remote role with regular collaboration across distributed engineering, fabrication, and project teams.
Design and draft mechanical components, including skid frames, piping, valves, supports, and equipment layouts, using AutoCAD
Generate detailed electrical drawings, including schematics, panel layouts, and power one-lines
Create detailed fabrication drawings, including isometric views, for shop assembly and wiring
Develop 3D models of components and full system renderings for visualization and client review
Translate engineering specifications and concepts into accurate, manufacturable working documents
Produce accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) for all designs
Review and revise existing drawings to reflect changes, and create as-built documentation
Coordinate mechanical and electrical scope to eliminate conflicts before fabrication
Collaborate with engineers and manufacturing personnel to ensure designs are manufacturable and meet all specifications
