Why This Role Matters

MissionHires is seeking an AML Sanctions Investigation Analyst to support Government Sanctions Interdiction (GSI) operations. You will investigate stopped payments, verify information, assess sanctions and AML risks, and make independent, well-documented decisions aligned with AML procedures and decision matrices. The role blends online and offline work, requires strong analytical skills, and focuses on delivering excellent customer experiences while meeting SLA targets.

How You'll Contribute
  • Provide technical support to customers, agents, and service associates on complex AML/GSI issues
  • Manage and investigate stopped payments in alignment with AML and sanctions procedures
  • Conduct in-depth investigations and analyze documentation for potential sanctions/AML concerns
  • Perform transaction management and information verification for GSI-related activity
  • Service inquiries via phone and email with clear, compliant communication
  • Make independent decisions using established decision matrices and escalate high-risk cases
  • Document actions, findings, and decisions thoroughly and accurately
  • Deliver high-quality outputs and meet SLA productivity and accuracy targets
  • Continuously enhance knowledge of AML programs and sanctions requirements
  • Leverage MS Excel and public databases for research and case analysis

What Makes You a Great Fit
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 1+ year of experience in AML, fraud, compliance, or financial services
  • Hands-on experience analyzing transactions related to Government Sanctions Interdiction (GSI)
  • Strong analytical and investigative skills with sanctions knowledge
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and public database research
  • Ability to make independent decisions aligned with decision matrices and escalation protocols
  • High level of autonomy and accountability in case handling
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to ensure strong customer experience
